You might have read in my posts and posts of a lot of blogger all over the Internet that the key to success lies in posting quality content. I totally agree with that and I strongly recommend you to post quality content, otherwise you won't make it in the world of the blogers. This is probably the best one of the blog tips: Blog with high quality posts. However, I've never came across a post that really answered the question "What is quality content?". So, they tell you that you should provide quality content, but they don't define "quality". This article will scratch the surface of this topic and tries to give you an insight of what a quality post is and what isn't quality.
Quality blog - Quantity blog
First off all, let me repeat myself and repeat your teacher and probably even your parents. Quality is a lot more important than Quantity, yes even on the Internet! Just imagine how many blogs there are out there! So can you really shine out of the crowd with Quantity? No you can't, there's just too much Quantity out there on the Internet. But what the world wide web lacks is Quality and helpful content. So if you really manage to provide quality posts on your blog, that are helpful or entertaining, who knows? Maybe you will have a lot of traffic knocking at your website's door every day.
Why is there so much Quantity content?
Alright, no need to point out that "Quantity content" really sounds awkward, I know it. However, let's get to the point. Why is there so much Quantity content out there, in eyes of blog tips, with low quality and basically no interest in actually helping or entertaining the user? It's obvious. Because creating low quality content is a lot easier than actually contributing to the user with quality content. Writing a detailed news post or a review about a book is a lot harder than just pasting some information and adding a sloppy description, isn't it? And that's what a lot of people on the internet do. This way they also try to get a lot of traffic onto their website, by having a lot of content, but which is of low quality. This doesn't help the reader in any way and he will avoid to visit the website in the future.
What is Quality?
If you are a blogger you've probably already gotten a feeling for quality content. So how can you define a quality post? Well, some people say that your post is a quality one if you get a lot of views. I say that this is completely false, you might as well just get your views by doing good Search Engine Optimization or having a lot of links to your post on the Internet. Also there are people out there claiming that quality content needs a specific length, with which I have to disagree again, that would result in quantity again. (Of course your article can't be 10 words long though)
However, these are my points I think quality content will have to fulfill, if it wants to be labeled as quality content:
Error free English (or any language the post is in)
Helpful or Entertaining content

How do I check if my posts are of high quality?
Well, there are some ways to check if your posts are of high quality.It's actually pretty easy to do so, you will basically just observe the reaction of your users.
Have you ever read a book that you would really recommend to anyone, or did you even recommend it to someone already? Well, it's the same thing for your articles and posts, if you provide quality content that's interesting and extraordinary, people will recommend it to other people, perhaps by doing a nice trackback to your post. If this happens you most likely provided some nice quality content.
If you haven't disabled the commenting on your posts, because you got so many comments this might be another way for you to check the quality of your content. Just read through the comments, did your post even get any comments? Read what your users say, the best feedback is the one that you get from your readers.
Also you will need to take a look at the rate of the users that come back to your website. If you really provide quality content, that's very extraordinary and interesting chances are that people will bookmark or favorite your blog and come back to your website soon. If that's the case you obviously have succeeded in blogging with good, helpful and interesting content. That's how you can break out of the crowd of millions of blogger out there. And you probably won't really be in need of blog tips, since you are already very well aware of what it takes to create a good blog.

I think that everybody needs to decide for themselves what is quality content and what not. There's no real thing such as a "definition" for quality out there. It all depends on the topic and your writing skills and the efforts and time you dedicate in posting new content. So be sure to put a lot of effort and time into your posts. If you really want to be a good blogger, this is one of the best blog tips I can give you. You don't need to read thousands of blog tips, rather just create well and informative content.

We just thought we will take the other route and for once stop sounding monotonous; it’s good to take it light sometimes!
